Popular for only 4 years, LED bulbs are gaining popularity thanks to the many advantages they offer compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. Declined according to the case either in so-called "dimmable" version, that is to say, modulable in terms of brightness power, or in "non-dimmable" version, these bulbs intend to establish themselves as the new generation lighting accessory. Faced with this irresistible success, what are the most typical LED lamps vis-à-vis incandescent lamps? Which model to choose from the plethora of bulbs on the market? Answers.

Why invest in an LED bulb?

Compared to incandescent bulbs, light emitting diode (LED) bulbs have many astonishing features.
The first and most interesting is the luminous efficiency of this type of bulb. Indeed, compared to incandescent bulbs, the luminous power of an LED bulb (expressed in lumen per watt) is far superior. Ditto with regard to its lifetime since a bulb of this category may have a life of up to 50,000 hours
But the most characteristic advantage undoubtedly concerns the very low power consumption of LEDs. Compared to a conventional bulb, an LED bulb needs only about ten watts at most to provide particularly intense lighting.Another great advantage of these bulbs: their insensitivity to repetitive ignition/stop cycles. But there is more: unlike conventional bulbs, LEDs are indeed known to reach their maximum brightness level as soon as they are lit. In terms of their declination, LED bulbs are divided into two categories: the so-called "dimmable" versions, and those that are not. As their English-language qualifier indicates, the former is therefore adjustable in light intensity. This characteristic makes them particularly functional because, thanks to this property, they will enhance livings as well as bedrooms. In terms of stays, this type of LED will indeed create if necessary either a subdued atmosphere or classically intense lighting. As for the bedrooms, the modularity of the "dimmable" LEDs will make it possible to make the night lights. Benefits that "non-dimmable" versions cannot provide.

LED spotlight: the ideal LED for optimal lighting

Among the LED models available on the market, the led bulb is undoubtedly the prototype to recommend for those who are looking for powerful but low-cost lighting. A veritable concentrate of brightness, this aluminum LED has the characteristic of being able to produce lighting equivalent to a brightness of 60 watts while it only needs 7 to light.
In other words, the led spot will allow you to save up to 90% of electricity! In terms of lighting angle, this model is also particularly interesting. Indeed, once switched on, it is able to illuminate with the same light intensity a radius of 120 °. Running on alternating current, the led bulb generates a luminous flux of 550 lumens, equivalent to 60 Watts. It has a lifespan of 20,000 hours. In years, this would be equivalent to nearly 25 years if the spot was used according to a small average of 3 hours of time per day. In terms of aesthetics, the spot is equipped with a frosted light diffuser that hides the consistency of the LEDs.
With an excellent color rendition, this model comes in three forms of light colors: cold, natural and warm.Guaranteed no harmful substances of the lead or mercury type, this LED spot does not diffuse any ultraviolet ray. Which makes it one of the most environmentally friendly light bulbs in the market
